Our Story
Kailash Momo was founded to share the love of Tibetan and Nepalese cuisine with the local Woolwich Community and the World. The name “Kailash” comes from the Kailash mountain range in the Himalayas, which is not only a sacred place for Hindus and Buddhists, but also a symbol of the rich cultural heritage of Tibet and Nepal.
The restaurant specializes in momos, a traditional Tibetan/Nepalese dish that consists of dumplings filled with various ingredients such as Chicken, Vegetables, and Mutton. The momos at Kailash Momo are handmade daily using fresh, locally sourced ingredients, and are served with our Fresh homemade Chilli Sauce.

I visited this new restaurant today and really enjoyed it. The place looks fresh and cosy, and the staff were super friendly and welcoming. I tried the fried chicken momo—it was tasty and nicely presented. Prices were fair, and the service was fast. I’ll definitely come back to try more dishes. Wishing them all the best!
